It seems that Pets also have a last wish before they die. One veterinarian, who not only saves animals lives but also has the painful task to end it when the beloved family member is old or sick, spoke about it.
Twitter user Jesse Dietrich asked the vet what the hardest part of his job was, and the specialist replied without hesitation that it was for him to see how old or sick pets look to their owners before they go to sleep.
The fact is, 90% of owners don’t want to be in a room with a dying animal. People leave so they don’t have to see their pet go.
But they don’t realize that it’s in these last moments of life that their pet needs them most. Many veterinarians ask owners to be close to the animal right up to the very end.
“It’s inevitable that they will die before you. Don’t forget that you were the center of their lives.”
At the end they are family too. No matter how hard it is, try to be with them.
It is painful for a vet to see how pets look for their owners but can’t find them during the last minutes of their lives. They don’t understand. After all, they needed their owner’s consolation, like they did so many times before. “Please, try to be with them in their last moments.”
Veterinarians do everything they can to make sure pets aren’t so scared, but for the animal they are many times complete strangers.
